MiFiWriters is proud to partner with the Herrick District Library, Caffeinated Press, and World Weaver Press to bring you a one day workshop on the craft of writing. The date of the event will be January 30, 2016, starting at 9:30 AM (registration will open at 9:00 AM).
The day will feature panel discussions, audience Q&A, and live first-page critiques. Panel conversations will include facets of the writing process such as Character Development, POV, Voice, and Conflict (among others), as well as insight into the editing process, including what an editor does and does not want to see, how to make your piece rise out of the slush pile, or how the relationship works between an editor and an author. We’ve aimed all of it at getting your writing ready for publication.
With panels of editors, publishers, and published authors, this is a unique opportunity to peer into the writing life and pick up tips that can help hone your craft.
Come join us for a fantastic, fun, and free day!
We didn’t mention that it’s free? Let us remedy that: the whole day is free. As in, you don’t have to pay a cent. Just show up. Space is limited, however, so we suggest you head over to herrickdl.org to pre-register.
